Caoyang New Village, China's first housing project for factory workers, has hosted hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors including former US President Jimmy Carter in 1981. It continues to welcome tourists from around the world today. The renovated neighborhood offers a "citywalk" program that provides a one-day glimpse into the lives of Shanghai's residents.

曹楊新村是新中國成立后建設(shè)的第一個工人新村，位于上海市普陀區(qū)，始建于1951年。1953年，曹楊新村街道成為國家首批外事接待單位，曾接待過包括美國前總統(tǒng)吉米·卡特在內(nèi)的數(shù)十萬境外友人。如今，這里依然有來自世界各地的游客?！白鲆惶焐虾Ｈ恕保w驗(yàn)本地居民的日常生活也成為曹楊新村的招牌體驗(yàn)活動。
